Futūḥ al-shām
This is a Turkish translation of the original Arabic work by Wāqidī , Muḥammad ibn ʻUmar, 747 or 748-823 . The work describes the Arab conquest of Damascus and the surrounding areas during the reigns of the caliphs Abū Bakr, -634 and ʻUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, -644. The work is in three volumes. Show more

This work is a translation, interspersed with many original verse passages, of the classic work on the life of the prophet Muhammad by Muḥammad Ibn Isḥāq, -approximately 768. The translation is based on the version made in the 13th centuryby Bakrī , Abū al-Ḥasan ibn ʻAbd Allāh. The work acquired high popularity and there are many copies of the Turkish translation made by Musṭafá Ḍarīr. The work is in 5 volumes. Show more

This work was recently discovered and it is only available in a single manuscript at the İstanbul Üniversitesi (). The work contains 2120 verses dealing with the story of Yūsuf as it appears in the Qur’ān.
