Biographical notes
Maʿlḳaravī was from the town of Malkara near Tekirdağ. He is the author of three dictionaries. He worked as a mudarris in Ayaslug (today’s Selçuk) near Izmir. He was versed in Arabic and Persian. He had two sons named Meḥmed and Aḥmed.
