Badr al-Dīn Muḥammad b. As‘ad al-Yamānī al-Tustarī
Biographical notes
He is mentioned in passing by Brocklemann GAL I, 432, and Hajji Khalifa
(Kashf, 540), who describes him as “one of the poets of Muhammad Khudabanda, approximately 1280-1316, the Ilkhanid ruler.
Judging by the dedications and places of copying of his works, he seems to have
been active in Anatolia, Iran
and Egypt
in the early fourteenth century. Little else is currently known of him.
Al-Fuṣūl al-Ashrafiyya, dedicated to the ruler of the Eşrefid principality based
at Beyş̧ehir , Mubāriz al-Dīn
Muḥammad b. Sulaymān (r. 702/1302-721/1320), deals with metaphysics and
cosmology.
