This short work is one of the earliest Turkish works of advice literature. According to the preface, it was translated into Turkish by Qāsım bin Seyd̂i el-Ḥāfıẓ Anḳarî, active 1456 from a Persian version which had been composed by Hacı b. Ismail Tebrizi, حاجي بن اسمعيل تبريزي. The latter had himself translated it into Persian from an Arabic original. The Turkish translation was made on the request of Murad II, Sultan of the Turks, 1404-1451. Show more
