Title
History of the Osmanli dynasty
Notes
From its origin to the reign of Bayezid II, Sultan of the Turks, 1447 or 8-1512, without preface, title, or author's name
Comparison with a previously described manuscript (see (Uk_add_7869, pp. Add. 7869)), shows that the greater part of the present work is literally transcribed from the chronicle of Behişti, Ahmet Sinan Çelebi, fl. 1485-1511, from which it differs, however, by omissions and additions. The omissions consist of the versified prologues prefixed by Behişti, Ahmet Sinan Çelebi, fl. 1485-1511 to the several reigns, some poetical passages in the course of the narrative, and a few redundant phrases. The additions due to the anonymous compiler are more important

Title
History of the Osmanli dynasty
Notes
History of the reigns of Bayezid II, Sultan of the Turks, 1447 or 8-1512, Selim I, Sultan of the Turks, 1470-1520 and Süleyman I, Sultan of the Turks, 1494 or 5-1566 without author's name
The second portion of this work is probably due, in its present form, to the same anonymous compiler as the first, and was designed to form a sequel to it. It is found to be in the main textually transcribed from the chronicle of Muḥyī al-Dīn Muḥammad b. ‘Alī al-Jamālī, d. 1550-1, محیی الدین محمد بن علی الجمالی but it has received additions, chiefly obituary notices, from other sources. It has also been continued from 951 AH [1544-1545 CE], where the extracts from Jamālī come to an end, to 969 AH [1561-1562 CE].
