Notes
The work is a versified version of a popular Hanafi fiqh manual by Abū Ṭāhir Sirāj al-Dīn Muḥammad al-Sajāwandī , the al-Manāhij al-Sirājiyya () , dealing with the law of inheritance. Judging by the frequent interlinear commentaries on vocabulary and grammar in the manuscript of Muhsin’s Jāmi‘ al-Durar , this latter was also used to teach Arabic. It was composed in 736 AH [1335 CE] according the final verse. عام لَوُذٍ قبيل شهر رجب * تم ابياته لكم اعجب
Probable place of composition: Kayseri (Turkey).
