- Title
- Yâdigâr-i İbn Şerif
- يادگار ابن شریف
- Notes
- A combination of medicine from the school of Avicenna, 980-1037 and Islamic materia medica based on Ibn al-Bayṭār’s comprehensive updating of Dioscorides
- The work was composed in the name of Umur Bey Çelebi b. Timurtaş Paşa, d. 1461, thus it must date from the reign of Mehmed II, Sultan of the Turks, 1432-1481 in the second half of 15th century, in between the years 1453-1461. Over the decades there has been much disagreement in the Turkish scholarship regarding the identity of the patron (Umur Bey Çelebi b. Timurtaş Paşa, d. 1461), as well as the dating of the work
