Biographical notes
Scholar active during the reign of Meḥmed II who died in Istanbul in 860 AH [1456 CE]. He is buried across from the mosque built by himself known by the name İbn Meddâs. He wrote a treatise on the rainbow as well as a treatise on the question of blasphemy regarding Sufi practices. His father may have been a blacksmith.
