- Biographical notes
- His date of birth is unknown. After serving the Jalayirid ruler Aḥmad b. Uways, Astarābādī entered the service of Qadi Burhaneddin ruler of Sivas, probably around 1394 [1394 CE]. His date of death is unknown, but must have occurred after 800 AH [1398 CE], when he composed his sole known work, the Bazm u Razm, a biography of his patron Qadi Burhaneddin.
