- Notes
- This unique undated fourteenth-century [1300-1399 CE] prose collection of stories of the prophets is defective at the end. It begins with the creation of the world, followed by descriptions of heaven and hell. It then narrates stories of the most well-known prophets starting with Adam and Eve, and presumably ends with the life and times of the Prophet Muḥammad. After the section on the Islamic conquest in Byzantine Asia Minor, Iran, Egypt and the upper Nile (Habeşistān), the text abruptly comes to an end with the heading of the story of Aʿyşe. The work place of composition is Anatolia.
