The introduction also explains the special benefits of sura yasin: “if someone hungry reads it, God will fill him, if someone fearful reads it God will protect him, if a traveller reads it he will reach his homeland after a successful journey, if a poor man reads it he will become richif someone indebted or imprisoned for debt reads it, he will be released…..”After yasin, selected short suras from the end of the Qur’an are translated. The final portions of the codex include stories relating to Dhu’l-Nun, Hārūn al-Rashīd, and the Jews of Khaybar. (fol. 234b).
