Biographical notes
It is believed that the original author of the anonymous history of the Seljuqs might have been active in Konya (Turkey) around the year 1290 [1290 CE]. The information provided in his work suggests that he was connected to or member of one of the Anatolian urban fraternities (akhīs) which gave him good access to the chronology of events in the city of Konya (Turkey). Later additions were made in note form during the 14th century [1300-1399 CE].

A history of the Saljuqs of Rūm from the origin of the dynasty until the end of the reign of ‘Alá al-Dīn Kaykubād II, Sultan of the Seljuks, r. 1249–1257
The last folio includes some references to event that occurred in Konya (Turkey) and Syria until 741 AH [1341-1342 CE].
This is the only known manuscript of this work and has a praise for Nāṣir Muḥammad ibn Qalāwūn, Sulṭān of Egypt and Syria, 1285-1341 reflecting a new political alignment of the Chronicle towards the Mamluks after the collapse of the Ilkhanate in 1335 [1335 CE].
