Work 2: al-Tawassul 'ilá al-tarassul (Badr al-Dīn al-Bakhshī al-Rūmī, fl. 13th century)

Notes: A collection of epistolary documents produced during the Sultanate of Rūm (ca. 1081-1308) in Anatolia; A letter written for a mali of Malatiyah named Akmal al-Qūniya al-Nakhchivānī, أكملا القونیه النخچوانی in f. 150; other written in Kaysariyya ( ff. 151v and 154r) and others sent to Konya ( ff. 149r and 160v). The city of Antalya in f. 166v, is mentioned as Medinat al-Falakīyīn (مدینة الفلکیین) where the copyist of the document lived. Some of the historical characters addressed in these letters are an amir Kamāl al-Dīn Hakīm, کمال الدین هکیم (f. 131v); another amir Bahāʼ al-Dīn malik-i Sāḥil, بهاء الدين ملک ساحل, who was the prince of the maritime province (ff. 136r and 152v); another amir Bahāʼ al-Dīn, بهاء الدين (ff. 140-142, 162r and 165v); an amir based in Konya called Ẓāhir al-Dīn, ظهير الدين (f. 139r); Amir Nuṣrat al-dīn, نصرت الدىن. Letters by and to Sultans of Rūm are also included; The title and author names are left blank at the preface, only appearing in f.174
