Title
Cāmāsb-nāme
جاماسبنامه
Notes
This is a translation made from one of the versions of the Cāmāsb-nāme probably in Persian and in prose form. ʿAbdī Mūsā states that he has translated it in verse form but he doesn’t give any information about the original work or the author. He also states that he has written the work in one year at the behest of Murād II (824/1421-855/1451) in 833 AH [1429-1430 CE], Aydıncıḳ (Edincik). Instead of staying loyal to the classical Cāmāsb-nāme narration, ʿAbdī Mūsā felt free to enrich the work with his addings. The work is about the life of Jamasb, son of prophet Daniel.
