- Biographical notes
- Aḥmad-i Rūmī was a Mevlevi poet of the first half of the 14th century [1350-1399 CE] who seems to have come from Alanya. However, he made his career in India, according the biographical information we have from his own works, visiting Lucknow, Avadh and Bengal. His works are Sufi in orientation, and he claims to have rejected the patronage of Indian rulers.
