Biographical notes
Aḥmad-i Rūmī was a Mevlevi poet of the first half of the 14th century [1350-1399 CE] who seems to have come from Alanya. However, he made his career in India, according the biographical information we have from his own works, visiting Lucknow, Avadh and Bengal. His works are Sufi in orientation, and he claims to have rejected the patronage of Indian rulers.
Title
Al-Daqā’iq fi al-ṭarīq
Notes
A masnavi on the recommended behaviour of adherents of the Sufi path, influenced by Rumi. A particular concern is the murid-murshid relationship.
